Weil Ranch
Broodmares
Although Boogers Mytee Tonka is the cornerstone of the program, we
were not going to be lax on the quality of mares we purchased to
breed to him. We are far more concerned with quality over quantity
and are building off of what has proven successful from the past.
Who Dat Hustler was the bay horse Cody Ohl rode in 2001 the year he
won the All-Around Cowboy and Calf Roping World Championship in
the Professional Cowboys Rodeo Association. Hotroddin Good is the
horse Johnny Weil rode to three calf roping titles in 2002- The United
Rodeo Association year-end title and Finals Average Tiltle and The
Iowa Rodeo Association year-end title. Both of those horses cross the
Marion Flynt Ranch bloodlines (Colonel Freckles, Freckles Hustler,
Freckles Playboy, Ima Son O Sugar, etc.) with the Mullendore Cross
Bell Ranch bloodlines of Cee Booger Red and Cee Bar Badger 71.
We have instituted these six broodmares in our band that will continue
with this bloodline cross- Ima Miss Crossbell, Cross Bell 105, Cross
Bell 136, Barlons Poco Gal, Colonel San Maria and Colonel Snow
Flake. In addition to these mares there is Sally Gibor. She is a
granddaughter of AQHA Champions Doc's Jack Sprat and Bert Leo.
I am currently training a coming five year old out of Cross Bell 136. He
is started on cattle and I anticipate that he will be headed to rodeos
when he is a six year old. Sally Gibor's foals have been sold all over
the country from Arizona to Mississippi where they are being used as
rope horses. The two Colonel Hotrodder daughters oldest foals by
Tonka are coming two year olds and are just getting started in their
training. Their is certainly a lot of excitement that these mares will be
outstanding producers.
